KAITLIN’S APPROACH
Obesity is a chronic, multi-factorial disease influenced by a number of factors, including: environment, genetics, medications, hormones, diseases, & lifestyle choices. Being an obesity medicine specialist means being dedicated to the prevention of obesity and advocating for those battling obesity. There is an abundance of misinformation regarding weight loss and nutrition so it’s essential to seek out a provider adequately trained in treating obesity as the complex disease. Treatment is highly individualized and is never one-size-fits-all.
